Stogie II 40' Gentleman's Racer

Stogie II

40' Gentleman's Racer

Simply stated, Stogie II turns heads. Sleek, long and very fast, she’s a careful blend of classic styling and state of the art design. Her predecessor, Stogie, was an instant success and spent many summers thundering across the waters of Lakes Charlevoix and Michigan.

From the original design we set out to take her successor to the next level. Bigger, faster and rigged with more power this new design embodies the spirit of Gold Cup Racing in the early years. Engine and drive options are many and dependent on the client’s preference for top speed. Big blocks of 425 h.p. and up or, for something mechanically beautiful, a pair of Ilmor’s Vipers would leave anything comparable in her wake.

Presently she’s designed for straight inboards but surface drives are another option certainly worth considering. This is a big boat so we’ve added a bow and stern thruster to make tight quarters maneuvering effortless. There’s seating for five adults in the cockpit plus two could be added forward of the engines if a “mother-in law” seat is added. Stogie II, another masterpiece in mahogany from Van Dam.
