CURRENTLY  DESIGNING

Lapstrake:

The Great Lakes Boat Building School in Cedarville, Michigan requested a smaller version of our newly launched 30' Lapstrake Cruiser.  Van Dam scaled the lines back to 27.5 LOA, 8'-6" beam and repowered her with a single V8/V-Drive of up to 300 h.p.  A diesel would be a fine choice for power as well in this design.  The design features a cold molded bottom with a hard chine and ship-lap topsides.  And as with our 30' version, this hull handles rough water, tracks well and stays dry.  Ideal for the rough waters of Mackinaw.

Fishing Boat:

For the Landing School in Kennebunkport, Maine, Van Dam has designed a cold-molded center console fishing boat.  She is 21'-6" LOA with an 8'-6" beam and designed for an outboard of between 90 and 150 h.p.  A 14º deadrise will provide a nice ride and generous flare will keep her dry in a chop.  Casting platforms fore-n-aft, ample storage, a 55 gallon fuel tank, and self bailing/water tight cockpit are some of the features built in.  CNC router cut framing pieces allow the boat to go together like a kit.
