Impshi II
IMPSHI II – a Classic Thoroughbred Loosely styled after Impshi, George Crouch’s original 1920’s Gold Cup racer, Impshi II is redesigned and proportioned to handle the power of a modern racing engine and driveline. Her contemporary double-stepped V-bottom, hybrid semi-surfacing drive, and robust hydraulic steering system are carefully blended into the classic styling of the era. Meticulous craftsmanship, a Van Dam trademark, is evident throughout the boat. Honduras mahogany planking, cut from a single log for color and grain uniformity, is book-matched so each side of the boat is a mirror of the other. Opening the hatches reveals more of Van Dam’s construction artistry and attention to detail. Viewed from any angle Impshi II is lean, powerful and elegant. Turn the key, and the heady sound of 750
supercharged horsepower rumble to life, resulting in eye-watering acceleration
and 80 plus mph performance. Even with her thoroughbred design she
idles steadily and behaves well in tight quarters. A custom built
waterjet bow thruster provides for docking ease at the push of a button.
