Construction began in December 2015 on this beautiful 16′ custom fishing boat, designed by Michel Berryer of Van Dam Custom Boats.

With a beam of 6’3”, and a half load displacement of 2,100 lbs, “Geepy” (Grandpa) is built from African mahogany for her frames and joinery and sapele ply for her ship-lay topsides. Gliding silently through the water, her 12 h.p. electric drive is powered by (4) 8D batteries providing her a 4 to 5 knot cruise and about 6 hours for a runtime. A built-in (household current) charger will top off her cells from a full discharge in roughly 8 hours. Hydraulic steering, a generous rudder and partial skeg will provide excellent direction control and stability.
