ITALMAS is a world-class cruising design, finely tuned and tailored for her owner to enjoy sailing the Great Lakes. Combining distinction with grace, this design by Stephens Waring Yacht Design pays homage to the classic yachts of the 1940s and 1950s with a traditional yet timeless aesthetic.

World-class craftsmanship by Van Dam has created a Great Lakes cruising sloop unlike any other. The yacht exudes “classic” charm, with a hull defined by restrained overhangs, subtle tumblehome, an elliptical transom, and traditional bulwark detailing.

The most notable feature of the sail plan is the custom-designed wooden spar, paired with a modern carbon fiber roller furling boom. This streamlined sail plan minimizes the effort required for handling while offering plenty of power for the yacht’s easily driven performance underbody.
