Apprentice Paint & Varnish

Scott was raised in the Metro Detroit area, but had the good fortune of spending his weekends and summers in northern Michigan. In college, Scott studied psychology with a specialization in cognitive neuroscience as well as philosophy. While psychology and philosophy interested him, he found woodworking and painting to be his true calling.

When Scott isn’t learning the latest and greatest paint and varnish techniques, you can find him outdoors. He has a passion for hunting, fishing, paddling and backpacking. He spent many years working in Alaska leading groups of at-risk youth on backcountry canoe expeditions!
