Classic Limousine Styled Runabout
Nokomis was designed by Van Dam for the cool weather of the Great Lakes, and ultimately for Lake Geneva. Nokomis and her two sister-ships, Cyclone and Luv N It, resurrect a rare classic runabout style – the Limousine. In the 20’s and 30’s the Limousine was the top of the line for the major runabout builders, and these three boats continue the tradition. Their look is classic elegance; their function is to provide sheltered enjoyment and dockside entertainment. In typical Van Dam fashion, the planking is all hand selected, comes from one log, and is perfectly fit.
The joinery inside the enclosure is reminiscent of a bygone era. Careful use of interior space permits amenities such as a wet bar, refrigerator, icebox, coffee maker and head. The limousine top offers 6’-2” of standing headroom, and a snug V-berth provides room for an overnight stay. Sliding windows in the cockpit and a large flush foredeck hatch allow excellent ventilation either underway or at the dock. A premium sound system and speakers are tastefully concealed within Van Dam’s exquisite craftsmanship, preserving the classic ambiance.
