The Ghost

A modern rendition, with John Hacker-inspired styling, The Ghost is a triple cockpit runabout fitted with two, fuel-injected V8s offering comfortable 50+ mph performance and superb close quarter maneuverability. Modern controls and instruments cleverly made to look antique are a trademark of Van Dam, as well as the mirror-polished and custom fabricated stainless hardware. The beauty of these mechanical installations is as much fun to admire as the wood itself. The deck and hull planking are Honduran mahogany, cut from a single tree to ensure color and grain uniformity throughout.

Epoxy, cold-molded construction allows the warmth of wood to show through, but keeps all moisture out. This technique guarantees structural longevity and ease of maintenance. No-maintenance, teak grate flooring provides a rich look to the interior, yet offers superior traction when wet. Family comforts were imperative to our client, who requested an opulent U-lounge. A remote aft cockpit allows children the thrill of getting away from the folks, or possibly the other way around! Overstuffed leather upholstery and a smooth-riding hull promise comfort for everyone, all day long.
